DELIVERY SYSTEM MANAGEMENT

Quality Oncology is the nation

Delivery System Management: Open Dialogue, Ongoing Improvement

Our approach to delivery system management relies on education and clinical information. We stimulate provider behavior change and hold physicians accountable to measurable standards of efficacy.

Our medical directors interact regularly with community oncologists and other cancer-related physicians to discuss treatment plans that deviate from our "best practice" treatment guidelines. Through peer-to-peer consultations, our medical directors facilitate communication among the many specialists involved in the patient's treatment.

By working and communicating with providers from the outset we enhance patient coordination for improved care delivery. Working seamlessly with your existing cancer delivery system, we strive to:

  • Reduce duplication in diagnostic testing.
  • Reduce duplication in diagnosis onward.
  • Optimally use the full continuum of care.
  • Conserve hospital resources.
  • More wisely employ end-of-life, palliative care.
  • Assign accountability to attending oncologists.

We provide regular feedback to participating physicians on measures of cost, utilization, clinical quality, and patient satisfaction. And, on an ongoing basis, we work with providers to help them address changes in treatment patterns, standardize care and decrease their administrative burden.
